illustration friday: propagate
Monday, February 22, 2010, 10:35 AM - General, Relationships, Art/Design, Illustration, Illustration Friday
As I haven't done anything since The Finders Keepers Artwork Competiton (yeah! I was chosen by the way...) and have been working nearly every waking moment for someone else, I needed a little kick start today to get back into it. So this is a fast one...

Spoonflower in the mail!
Friday, February 19, 2010, 03:50 AM - General, Animals, Art/Design, Illustration, Stores: Etsy, Blue House
Today I received my very first Spoonflower fabric test in the mail, and despite what I read and worried about (albeit briefly) to do with colour (such as outlined by Voodoo Rabbit's Blog (fellow Australian)... I am very happy with the colours. The feet on the red, hairy monster are a little faint, but, that is easy to fix. So... soon you might see a monster friend to take to bed with you.

Finders Keepers Art Competition
Wednesday, February 17, 2010, 12:48 PM - General, Art/Design, Illustration
I had about 1 hour and 20 minutes left to submit the piece I had intended to submit to Finders Keepers Artwork competition and I have made it despite having a relatively horrid week in terms of morale. I guess we can't have good weeks every week.
To get myself moving with this piece, I got myself some tea and randomly splodged it all over the paper. As I am a person that "sees things" in everything, soon, the image became apparent. A head with it's tongue out. And so it is!
Too weird? Perhaps.
No, not on drugs.

This Little Piggy Show
Monday, February 15, 2010, 10:51 AM - Stores: Etsy, Blue House, Exhibitions, Markets
Friday night was the opening of the This Little Piggy show at The China Heights Gallery, Surry Hills (Sydney). It was stinking hot in the gallery (due to that charming heat we had that day). Supposedly the pieces will still be on sale on-line for a couple of months.
