Here I am showing one of my Frogman and Bunyip illustrations that I am actually happy with after a few tests. This little scene is the frogman having just run out of the water from the Bunyip, is resting on the bank and his wife is telling him that they are not safe, and he shouldn't rest just yet... and yes, she is right. Back to work for me.

Home and ready to work!

I have slept, been to a few dinner parties (I think it was a ploy to keep me awake), and am getting ready to start cracking tomorrow on my work. I have ideas to illustrate an Aboriginal Dreamtime story (my poor friend Gill, I grilled her to death about who I should talk to about with Aboriginal stories), I have the Moleskine Exchange I am participating in ready... I finished the logo for The New Infidels ... I am home!

Yep, the bad thing about stepping in Australia, look what I found in Berkelouw Books... it is even signed by Max Harris. Check out that sexy carpet in my parent's rented house!

song of the day: "White Caribou" Ponies in the Surf

This is what happens when you have bunyip stories in your head, you need to clean your flat (which you did ALL day, how is it possible?) and you have a new camera to play with. Self portraits! Yes, this is how I feel tonight.

We saw Bienvenue Chez Les Ch'tis last night (sorry, film preview in French, not sure if it would be released in English speaking countries), I was astounded that I understood nearly everything. Sadly, I have had similar experiences here. Pretty hardcore accent here in the North, and well, it was a pretty funny film.

Harry Potter strikes again
Tuesday, August 14, 2007, 08:38 AM - Relationships, Music/Books/Film

So this is what I generally saw for the entire weekend. But he didn't read just one Harry Potter, he read The Half Blood Prince and The Deathly Hallows in two days. It was a good thing I have until Wednesday off or I would have been really pissed, to be honest. These are the first Potter books he ever read, and was pleased he had never started before (because of the addiction factor).
