Have been pretty busy with the Pop Up Shop in Crows Nest, now it is seemingly all set up, it is a lot more relaxed. We are all just tweakers at this point.

Finally finished the last moleskine sitting on my desk for Moleskine Exchange Portrait Party 1. Lisa's book will hopefully soon be done and get back to her.

Floods and Film

Black Beast

Lots actually going on. I finished this piece this week, kind of felt like a warm up to something bigger. Sadly the "something bigger" hasn't been put down on paper yet, it is stewing in my head still.

The Moleskine Exchange exhibition in Minnesota is almost about to start, if you are in that area (and not covered in snow) more details here: Minnesota Centre for Book Arts. It seems like I am the star from the home page for the exhibition. Kind of making me feel embarrassed, but I guess in a good way.

There will be a blog up soon with donations for the Queensland floods with donated works from such wonderful artists as flossy-p, Catherine Campbell, Cat Rabbit, Beth-Emily (who is organising the whole thing)... and perhaps more... but that's all I know right now.

And finally as Australia kicks back into action, I can finally get all my films processed ...

The funny thing is this photo, that is on a film that was in my fisheye, has been in the camera for over a year. Seems I just love my Diana more than anything. Go to my Lomo Home to see more of my photos if you wish.

Ooli's moleskine breaks the drought

Ooli's MolyX71 (detail)

(this is a detail of the full piece)

Despite that second room, which is supposedly our "study" being an absolute pigsty, no storage, books in piles on the floor (because I needed to find a few of them) mess... I don't actually like being in there to be honest, but I am slowly getting use to it (this weekend is D-Day for mess and should be all sorted with new, long desk and a bit of storage for the materials I have everywhere)...

So digression...
I have a pile of moleskines on my desk running upto about 10. Some are mine waiting to be sent off, some are other people's that I should be working in and sending off. Oppsie!
So I picked one at random and found myself with a book from one of my favourite exchanges MolyX-71 : the music exchange. Ooli's choice of music is Asa Chang & Junray

A little quirky and crazy. She supplied us with the album Tsu Gi Ne Pu as well, with it's mix of Japanese and Indian musical styles. This is my entry.

Next moleskine is? Or maybe I should start Catherine Campbell's piece that I am looking at with a very terrified look on my face. What if I mess it up?

Collection 'O Moleskines

In the past week I have received Szaza's book for Moleskine Exchange 13 (see side links for all the groups), my L'horizon book back from Marty, which is sadly not full... (I may have to harass someone to add to it?), Ooli's book for the same exchange, plus I still have two of mine for a couple of others that haven't really started.
Lastly, Jan's book from the infamous moleskine exchange 3, that never got off the ground.

Best get cracking.

Moleskine Exchange 72 arrrrr!

Today, I finally have my Moleskine Exchange 72 generally done. I have been working further into the book too, but have yet to finish it. Soon soon. I want total interaction in my book.
