The flat surrenders to the Gocco monster!
This is the start of my Howiezine "Robots" submission, (plus extras for me to play with at a later date). It will have a Gocco base but some hand painting as well. I am happy with it so far, I think it might have been the reason I didn't sleep too well last night. Too excited or something.

Apart from that I am creating, and have almost finished my Ern Malley illustrations for my screen printed book. I was a busy bee in those terms on the weekend.

So, today I am waiting for the colour printer to print my enormous file, and there is a Japanese Design magazine sitting there, from 2005. I see these strange looking Japanese men in their meat propaganda T-shirts and a girl with a cap on that say "killer"... I fucking hope they are joking.
As I can't read Japanese, I can't tell... but something tells me they are... I hope. So I whipped over to the other side of the room, scanned the relevant pages, just so I could share.
Yep, I am going to REALLY swear in this post instead of pretending as I normally do (because, if the truth be known, I swear like a sailor if you let me)... so I have made my own subversive versions of the above comics:

So this is an illustration I did for a campaign we are running here at Décathon. It was a bit quick and dirty (it took me about 20 minutes to whip it up), but everyone seems to be happy with it. Note, i got on this bus this morning, and it seems it is a "bon idée"... but I was in the bus with one of my collegues and that was it. I asked the driver how many people in general get on the bus at a time... two. Pitiful. The French like their cars too much.

So this evening, I found the above... I was in one of their email newsletters Lost at Eminor a long time ago. They have a google map with things on it (which is what I was looking at), but I'm not on it.Tant pis les enfants.

My man was watching this this morning (it was in one of his newsgroups that he reads every morning; all day...), and personally, I haven't seen anything as strange as this since that Japanese game show with the people who put themselves through forms of disgusting torture to win... something I guess. The Japanese are crazy! I find it endearing, but super strange all at the same time.
