illustration friday : monster

OH!
The SUN IS OUT!
The rain has gone!
I'm on holidays and about to get on the plane!
YEAH!
(not for the plane part anyway).
Anyway, I digress;
Here is my submission with ze monsteur that I created about four months ago, but my mind is a bit on what is going into the suitcase and how crazy my mother-in-law is (perhaps another story for another time, I did almost kill her this afternoon, but she walks still... so no harm done).
The sun is moving and is again coming in the windows of our flat.
I guess I should get back to cleaning up the flat so other people can undo it while I'm away. Oh well.
At least I know it won't be my mess.
That is so horridly virgo, but I can't help it.

illustration friday : tattoo
Saturday, March 11, 2006, 10:27 PM - Vegan/Vegetarian, Art/Design, Illustration, Illustration Friday
I looked at a few of the earlier Illustration Friday submissions and was disappointed to see photos of tattoos... I had an idea in my head about an animal with tattoos and piercing sporting some type of vegetarian / vegan slogan (because supposedly, according to the press, we are those types of people... oh and Goths, yeah right, not admitting to anything).
So I ended up finally doing an illustration I had pencilled in vaguely, but he was given some tribal-type tattoos instead of being like my "beautiful on the inside" monkey. He is still in the process of drying in the photo...

illustration friday : insect
Saturday, March 4, 2006, 07:24 AM - General, Art/Design, Illustration, Illustration Friday
This is kind of old, I am coping out this week. This is one of the Whirlwind Stock Sample Cards I did in 2003, how time flies!
No logo on it, but there are insects!
It was a part of a 20 piece set of cards, or is a part, not sure if they still use them, that fitted together to make one big, fat, chaotic image, things crossing over into other cards.
I am going to Paris this weekend to go to a birthday party of sorts, I have just woken at 3:55am exactly, have been reading The Chronicals of Narnia (as I never read them all when I was a child), and hoping I don't pass out on the lounge like I did last time I went to one of their parties. Note, it was almost 1am and they were just getting to the dessert, and we had had a really big day that day, drove to Paris, it was HOT, the car broke down, we fixed it, we wandered around Paris for hours, in the heat, just wanting to rest... I sound like a prime whinger!
So today it is supposedly going to snow a bit more lowest of -2°C, I am going to a meeting for the Ateliers d'Edition Populaires (Screen printing workshop), then off to Paris to pick up my Man, who I haven't seen for a week. I think I flew with him, sometimes that happens with me, I fly with the people who are flying: meaning, I don't sleep.
I don't think most Frogs went to work or school yesterday, it was very quiet on the roads, it was snowing, but honestly, if it was really bad, as I don't have the habit (I am sure that is French translated back into English) of driving in snow or ice, I WOULDN'T HAVE DRIVEN EITHER!
I swear the Frogs will take a day off every chance they get.

day five: illustration friday : tea
Friday, February 24, 2006, 04:51 PM - General, Damn Carnies, Illustration, Illustration Friday
Here is my fifth day of creation (every day... ummm ehmm), and I did actually create my little mouse in the past hour or so, so, it is a NEW image. So I did create today.
I have one little thing to say which is going to sound obnoxious, but I don't care.
As I try really hard not to eat cheese/consume dairy etc; when I was riding on the métro this lunchtime, it would seem it was before people had eaten, but the whole carriage smelled like fermenting cheese and dairy, and I know it was probably because people were hungry, but it was such a repulsive smell, I spent the whole time with my face buried in my scarf. AND no, the smell wasn't coming from me. I have noticed that my breath, as I get hungry, isn't as bad as a cheese eater.
Something to think about.
