bit of subversion

So, today I am waiting for the colour printer to print my enormous file, and there is a Japanese Design magazine sitting there, from 2005. I see these strange looking Japanese men in their meat propaganda T-shirts and a girl with a cap on that say "killer"... I fucking hope they are joking.
As I can't read Japanese, I can't tell... but something tells me they are... I hope. So I whipped over to the other side of the room, scanned the relevant pages, just so I could share.
Yep, I am going to REALLY swear in this post instead of pretending as I normally do (because, if the truth be known, I swear like a sailor if you let me)... so I have made my own subversive versions of the above comics:
I couldn't help it I'm sorry.
Someone want to tell me if they are joking?

HOWIEZINE!

I GOT IT!
FINALLY!
The French got off their butts and decided to deliver some of that mail I was / am waiting for, still two to go... but I haven't given up hope yet.
That is Howiezine: Myths and Legends closed and how it is when you first open it. It is really beautiful, although I haven't looked at all of them really closely yet.
This is the site I see now whenever I am home. Large "fat ball" on the left sat out through the whole of winter without being touched. In March, I bought a flowering quince, I put it on the balcony, it doubled in size... the birds noticed it, came to see, noticed the birdy ball, and now are feasting on it like madmen. We have chicks and everything. We haven't managed to snap the wren and her babies yet... it is cool.

Spring powered attack pug, with extra butting defense power...
I finally finished this today, 10:30pm while watching 12 Monkeys I stuck his little antlers on. I shouldn't watch stuff like that, but I can't help it, it freaks me out slightly, like that horrid 28 Days Later , I really wish I didn't see that film.

I did see something amazing in The Sydney Morning Herald the other day:
Even though I didn't like how they said they got these images (inserting a camera into the uterus),
it is an amazing photo.

illustration friday: trouble

I saw a panda smoking something (perhaps bamboo, he looked damn guilty that's for sure!), I've seen naughty children... I was wondering what was eventually going to pop into my head. Of course a monkey at first, but then, we have those cheeky cockatoos from Australia, that I miss seeing... they are definately trouble. I took two photos tonight, as it shows everything, they both have nice qualities.
Speaking of birds, on All In The Mind this week, they had an interesting program about birds and their ability to learn. Seems "bird brain" cannot apply here. Really interesting.

illustration friday: skyline

Yesterday, when I came home from Buyse, there was a kitten in the street... mewing sadly across the road. I took a can of tuna that had been here since my mother was here, and went over to see what the deal was. She was old enough to be away from her mother, but not to be sitting in the street like that. She was very pleased to have someone give her a pat and some attention. I asked the man, who is always hanging out the window if it was their cat. Nope.
I fed her the tuna, waited for a bit, and then had to go, saying if she was there when I got back that I would take her in. She was gone when we got back. I hope she is ok, I feel a little bad I didn't take her home straight away, but there is a black cat I see quite frequently in the street, I had the feeling she belonged to her, and had somehow escaped. But if I see her in the street again, she will live with us... This is her doing a "Karate Kid" on the roof of my immediate skyline.
