Art Pharmacy Pop Up Press Night 09

Art Pharmacy Pop Up Press Night 05

Last night was the press opening of the Art Pharmacy Pop Up in Darlinghurst. I had the pleasure of painting monsters on the windows as well as being in the show. I was a little intimidated at first painting them, I started on the Palmer St side to start with and found, it wasn't too bad.

Thursday night is the big opening night with around 250 people who are going to be there. It was certainly good to be able to meet the people I was in the show with and talk to them. Thanks Emily and Emilya for the great experience.

Two Horses Hinged

I was tentatively asked to make a display for Melbourne Cup for someone who makes hats and although our conversation was brief, I made a couple of horses while I was in the Pop Up the other day. I made a little template, so I could get them done fast if she needed, so we see.

Bird Man

The one good thing about sitting in a shop all day, and having to amuse yourself, is I have found myself finishing pieces that have been lingering on my desk in some form or another. Sometimes they get a complete makeover, like Mr Bird Man here or sometimes it is a little tweak.

Monster Splodge 02

I have been enjoying just making monsters again. Simple, splodgy, not thinking too hard, monsters. I submitted these little creatures, amongst their other friends, to the Ohh Dear Pillow Fight competition. Back to the monsters!

'scuse me, while I eat your head..."

I created this piece for my submission for Sweets Workshop's Food Fight for this year. The topic is "Snack Attack". I have, not very surprisingly, gone a little out there with snacking being something a little different from what we would think, I guess. It was not so fun to scan. I have always thought I should have an A3 scanner, but in this case, it would only have helped slightly.
I am happy with it even if they don't accept it.
