Back home... hit the ground running.

I feel like I didn't do much in France except run back and forth, eat, drink, drive to the next meal, sit on my butt... eat some more. Amazed I didn't grow an enormous belly. But to no avail, I am still the same size.

Since getting back to Sydney, I haven't stopped. I started scanning my photos and while that was happening, I either packed up packets of Hinged Beasts, cut out beasts or... Gocco printed! Yes!
I bought this book at La Vieille Bourse in Lille (it was where I bought odd postcards too, I love going in there, I am sure my other half holds his breath in fear when he hears me saying I want to go there), it is a book in Flora classification, so all the pages have plants or flowers on them. Very nice. This one (above) is my proof, as I ripped the page a little, but I love his flower cupid's bow mouth. I couldn't have asked for a more appropriate spot for it. This one, or perhaps another will be in the new My Goodness my Gocco exhibition at Sweetsworkshop and if you are in Sydney, you might see him at The Finders Keepers too.

This Little Teapot

I am in France.
sadly I missed the opening of This Little Teapot exhibition, (which was on the night we flew out) and I am annoyed with myself as well once I saw the photos that Matthew took and put on his blog. I raced out of the country without attaching the plate hanger to the plate to hang next to the round canvas next to it. It looks like Rebecca has tried to put it on the wall in vain... and frankly, I am very disappointed in myself that it slipped my mind. Oh well, it is done now. It is still there, just looks out of balance.

Nothing to be done about it now.

I am impressed with the range of teapots that I have seen in the exhibition, so that is good. It looked very good from afar.

(Thanks for the photo Matthew!)

Bird in Hand & Horse-headed Papageno

I have been cutting out and attaching, to see how my printed version of my beasts are, how big they are in printed form. They are slowly appearing in my Etsy store, so that is exciting having a more accesible version of them about.

Now I feel like I am almost ready for Finders Keepers that Matthew Roland and I are doing together this time. Lots of planning to do!

Hinged Beasts are here!

They're here! Now to get them ready. That is tomorrow's job. There should be an updated version of how they'll be tomorrow afternoon. Get your scissors ready.

Hinged Ariane

This is a little in family commissioned piece for my niece who loves horses.
I await brads to finish them off (they will be two separate pieces, that I will frame when I get to France).

I impatiently await my printed hinged beasts, my mass of brads and cello bags to put the whole caboodle in. I hope to have it all by Friday. Hope. It is only Wednesday, should be good.
