illustration friday: skyline
Sunday, July 9, 2006, 02:06 PM - Animals, Art/Design, Illustration, Illustration Friday
Yesterday, when I came home from Buyse, there was a kitten in the street... mewing sadly across the road. I took a can of tuna that had been here since my mother was here, and went over to see what the deal was. She was old enough to be away from her mother, but not to be sitting in the street like that. She was very pleased to have someone give her a pat and some attention. I asked the man, who is always hanging out the window if it was their cat. Nope.
I fed her the tuna, waited for a bit, and then had to go, saying if she was there when I got back that I would take her in. She was gone when we got back. I hope she is ok, I feel a little bad I didn't take her home straight away, but there is a black cat I see quite frequently in the street, I had the feeling she belonged to her, and had somehow escaped. But if I see her in the street again, she will live with us... This is her doing a "Karate Kid" on the roof of my immediate skyline.

My stuff is finally up on Crafters For Critters. Not tons of my stuff... but stuff all the same. Go buy kiddies! Remember all the cash goes to animal related causes.

gimme your stuff... love my kookaburra!

So I received my package from Thomp, and well, my kookaburra is seen here listening to Australian birdcalls. It is probably a little sad to be so excited about a CD of Australian birdcalls (no music, just as if you were sitting in the bush)... I have been using it to drown out the noisy Euro motorbikes that the kids are allowed to have at a certain age here in France. Noisy buggers!

I'M HERE!

Wanted to dig out that photo for ages, yes it is me, yes, I was a blonde... probably still am, but that's another thing I try not to think about. It cracks me up... my crazy parents, or their friends, who knows which, I probably didn't need much encouraging, I was a bit of the centre of attention type of kid.
Well, the sun is out here, the birds are singing, I'm sneezing (normal), trying to get used to the QWERTY keyboard and keeping hearing dog claws walking all over the house, even though there are no dogs here now, officially.
Time for another clean up. This time it's ants that have made their new condominiums in my tightly packed CD collection. Little bastards.

surprise!
Saturday, December 10, 2005, 08:00 AM - Animals, Illustration, Illustration Friday
This is my very simplified entry for illustration friday this week. The topic is SURPRISE. It is drawn on the back of an old etching, that is what the mark is in the corner.
I read this article about Dogs Laughing, it has a report too that you can watch. I was pretty impressed.
Then, we have something else which is a little long, but it made my night the other night: Triumph Vs Star Wars Geeks, not sure where it came from, but it was pretty funny to me the other night.
This illustration on Steam Crow Press, is my favourite illustration this week.
