The development and scanning begins

I am home. And judging from my mail waiting for me, I have been in Australia a year. Went fast! I have started to scan the negatives from the photos I took while I was away. So far, I only have the black and white films. See the rest of the images either on Lomography or Flickr

Planes, trains, cars, boats... going for all types of transport on this trip. Will try to update my blog with what is going on. My store is disabled and I have not a care in the world except getting myself to the airport at this point. Off to Paris and straight to Greece.

Busy Day

I spent the morning running, running, running.
I "mounted" some of the photos I am going to send to LeeLoo and packed them up. Wrote more for a submission for Disco Underworld about being a foreigner, which they contacted me about. I finally bought my plane ticket from Paris to Kos and fell asleep for 3 hours. I must have been exhausted! I guess I haven't stopped since being in Melbourne and it caught up with me. I'm going to send these photos off tomorrow.

A Start: Illustrators Australia 20
Thursday, August 20, 2009, 12:47 PM - General, Art/Design, Illustration, Photography
I made a start tonight after being kind of bad and away for a few days. As I mentioned yesterday, I let this idea stew in my head before putting pen and brush to paper. This year for this exhibition, I am pleased to see they aren't letting people just stick a digital print to the wood.
and for some silliness:

Today, despite all my huff and puff about doing lots of drawing, I didn't do any. I did do my usual thing, I am not really a put it on paper doodling type of person, I like to stew ideas in my head, which I did for the Illustrators Australia 20th Anniversary Exhibition piece, and the two Moleskines sitting on my desk (that aren't mine).
Always takes me a couple of days to get back into it after being away (unless it was just a day or so away) from my desk. Today it was scanning photos distraction. I had three films developed over night (and have sent two other black and white 120s to Blanco Negro.
Then it was 5pm and I went to a discussion group type thing for Michigirl, super nice people.
I guess I did do a fair amount today.
